Rudolf Butz

Rudolf Butz was born in Solothurn. In addition to his training at the School of Design in Zurich and the art academies in Paris, Florence and Düsseldorf, he worked as a restorer at the Swiss National Museum. Numerous study trips have taken him to the Lofoten Islands, Provence, Tuscany, the USA, Ireland, Poland and Africa. Today Rudolf Butz lives and works in Solothurn and Brissago. Rudolf Butz\'s personal style is based on the interplay of colors, shapes and light. His pictures and objects allow for various interpretations and thus captivate the viewer.
