Judith Nussbaumer

Judith Nussbaumer has been working intensively with painting since 1999. In addition to semester courses at the ZHdK and further training as a design teacher at the IAC Zurich, she studied painting with Prof. Jo Bukowski at the Augsburg DE Academy of Fine Arts in 2017-2018. She lives and works as a freelance artist in Fulenbach and Wolfwil. She has been exhibiting continuously in Switzerland and Germany since 2003. “Nature, and the landscape in particular, is my greatest source of inspiration. I am not interested in naturalistic representation. It is the starting point of a free transformation that I follow and that shows itself in a new form in the image and in the material. My work is about transience, transition, the transcendental. What emerges inspires me and surprises me again and again. It has become a pure passion and passion to be able to follow this inner urge and need.”
