Martin Ziegelmüller
Martin Ziegelmüller was born in Graben near Herzogenbuchsee in 1935. After his apprenticeship as a draughtsman, his artistic training took him to the studios of Cuno Amiet and André Lhote. He traveled to Norway and Canada. Today he lives with his family and grandchildren in Vinelz, where he also works. In 1990 he was awarded the Culture Prize of the City of Biel. His literary works were published five years later. He has been represented in countless solo and group exhibitions and has written for many publications. In 2008, he was portrayed as an extraordinary personality in a film. Martin Ziegelmüller says of himself: “I always refused to cut my dreams down to normal size. Because I have remained unconvinced to this day, I have become a citizen who is not one hundred percent reliable.
