Roland Flück
Roland Flück was born in Solothurn in 1957. After training at the Basel School of Applied Arts and the Düsseldorf Art Academy, he traveled to Italy and Asia, among other places, until 1985. He has worked as a freelance artist since 1982 and has exhibited regularly in major galleries ever since. Since then, he has produced a wide range of editions, publications and works in public spaces. In the 2003 Kunsthaus Grenchen catalog, R. Schild writes: “In his work there are always two contradictory tendencies: To cover the picture surface with a confusing abundance of colors and forms and that of strict pictorial order and structure – subjective mannerism versus objectifying classicism.”
